Hi, I'm Ashlyn.

I've loved creating for as long as I can remember: filming on an iPad, borrowing my mom's camera, designing and editing just for fun. I did a ton of video production in high school and went on to study digital cinema.
Then I became an elementary school teacher. I thought it was my path, but it took more out of me than I expected, and for a while my creativity went quiet. Finding my way back to it has been one of the best feelings, and now I want to help small businesses feel that same spark about how they show up online.
What I love most is capturing the little moments: golden hour, the feeling of a really good day. That's the idea behind the sun in my logo. I want your content to feel as good as those moments do.
What I bring
Social media experience.
I currently manage social media and events for a company in a highly regulated industry, and my first social media role was as social media coordinator for a university art and design department, creating promotional content, keeping the tone consistent and tracking what worked.
Video and Reels.
I studied digital cinema and have been shooting and editing since high school.
Graphic design and photography.
Visuals that look like your brand, not a template.
Organization and clear systems.
As a teacher I built resource hubs, guides and trainings, so your content calendar will be easy to follow.
Detail and accuracy.
I'm used to work where every word has to meet the rules.
Events and hospitality.
I've coordinated events from private parties to business meetings, and I know what makes people feel welcome.
Accessibility.
I design with readable text, captions and alt text in mind, so more people can enjoy your content.
What working with me feels like
Supported.
Clear communication, and you'll always know what's coming next.
Collaborative.
I want to hear your ideas and bounce mine back.
Detail-minded.
Every word and visual checked with care.
Fun.
We'll laugh, get excited, and be proud of what we post.
Outside of work
Northern Michigan is my favorite place, and I went to Northern Michigan University. I've always been a skier, and you'll find me hiking, out on the water, with my family, or chasing golden hour with my camera. In a world where screens can drain us, I still believe real connection matters, and that's the kind of social media I want to make with Michigan small businesses like yours.
